As some of you know I had a RAID failure that was unrecoverable. Today, I've wasted two hours attemptin to load the OS back on a single drive pulled from the RAID array.
#1 There is no documentation that I'be been able to find
#2 Through trial and error, trying one thing after another, switching drives, and much more............
#3 Went back in the BIOS and set the storae system back to RAID
- - Then started a secure erase of the drive and stopped it at about 10% done on pass 1
#4 Changed the BIOS setting to IDE and the OS is now able to see the drive and it's loading.
Don't know when I'll have it ready to play EQ2 as I have other chores to get done today. And re-installed the game is only part of the pain. There's proffitUI and MAPS program to configure too .. . .
